I already called bestbuy several times about this but everytime your answer was to report this case to the local police.
I have my own account in BestBuy and it is linked to my father's credit card.
And the only product I have ever bought from BestBuy was a laptop, order number {removed per forum guidelines} .
However recently I received an email from best buy saying that I have bought something and the transaction was already made.
{removed per forum guidelines} .
No one in my family bought the product and later I received six more emails from bestbuy.
Three was that the order is placed and the other three was about the orders got cancelled because BestBuy was unable to verify the buyers information. ( Why wasn't the first order cancelled then? SO CONFUSED...)
Of course, it wasn't me or my family who tried to buy something.
Maybe my email was hacked, but that doesn't make sense because then how would the person know my dad's credit card infromation to buy something from best buy?
After talking with your agents on the phone they said the only thing they could do is telling me to report this case to the local police. (give police all infos and this case gets reported to the best buy fraud department blah blah )
Checking from online order details, the product bought was some gift cards and said the confirmation mail was sent to my email.
But the thing is I never even got the order receipt nor the confirmation mail of the product.
I am SO confused at this time!
So before telling me to report to the police and figure out, I want you guys to double check if perhaps it was one of your mistakes.
IF NOT, I will have to report it to the police so this case gets solved and I get my $150 back, but
what I want to know is if you guys even sent the order receipt.
So please send me the order receipt .
the order number is {removed per forum guidelines}

Hi myk1104,
I appreciate you taking time to reach out to us about the recent order that was made on your account, even though you stated that it wasn’t you that placed the order. I cannot imagine how concerning it would have been to receive an email about an order that you didn’t place.
As you mentioned in your post, the first thing that we will recommend for any unauthorized purchases is to contact local authorities and also your bank regarding what happened. I did look through the orders and I would like to provide some information to you regarding them. I will be sending you a private message to provide details. To check your messages, you must be logged into the forums and click on the yellow envelope icon in the top right corner.
Thanks,
