Hey not too sure if this is the right place to post it but I'm definitely infuriated about the situation.
So I resereved the Muppets with the steelbook offer and put down 7.50$ deposit. I go to pick it up today and they don't have any left in stock except the dvd and they wouldn't refund my preorder because I didn't have the case on me, but I don't understand, the case was provided with the preorder and then the store didn't even hold a copy for my preorder and refused to take responsibilty for it. So i ended up buying it on dvd so I could see If could exchange it somewhere else, but honestly I just wanted my money back and now I can't have that and have to live with an unwanted dvd. I realy appreciate if someone can help.

Sorry to be so blunt but it's the truth.
The only way you will is if someone on here wants to prove me wrong.
But at this moment, as I am responding to you, there is no one at Best Buy planning to respond to you.
Heck I've been waiting for responses to simple issues since January.

It was disappointing to read that the copy of The Muppets that you had pre-ordered was not available when you had visited your local store, as it should have been. I apologize for the disappointment this had caused you, and that you were unable to cancel the pre-order for the full refund as expected.
When an item is pre-ordered and has a free gift with the pre-order offer, the condition of the item being free is that you complete the purchase of the item. The deposit amount is generally the value of the free item, and therefore if the pre-order were cancelled, the store would need to request this item be returned to get the refund.
That being said, I would like to look into this further with you to determine if any options are available to get the version you had pre-ordered. To do so, I would need to gather some additional information from you however.
