Lke clockwork every month for the past year and a half, I receive an email notifiying me of my statement being available. After paying my bill (processed more than a week before the due date) I usually get an email saying my statement was paid. Just like my email notification, I have not received an email from HSBC.
What scares me is that while on my bill snapshop, it shows my payment was processed, but I'm still able to make a payment on this past month's statement. Is HSBC's online system having problems this month, or is this just me? I'm curious, because the latest I've ever paid a bill has been a week before the due date, and this anomaly is giving me cause for concern.

I think I know what you are asking. I've been in the same situation before where I have sent my payment, and I don't realize it and I make a payment again, therefore putting two payments in one month. The only time that could harm you is if you neglected to make a payment within a calendar month. I am still receiveing my emails about my payments, so it might have just been an anomaly for you for that specific month. I would double check that your account has the correct email and if you again do not receive the appropriate emails next month, I would advise contacting HSBC to report this issue.
