To whom it may concern,
I bought an HP Touchpad yesterday for $399 from the Clackamas, OR Best Buy. I read that the price drop would be going into effect today and since I had class this morning and expected there to be a rush on them I purchased it ahead of time planning on coming back and getting the difference refunded with the price matching policy (HP Online Store, Wal Mart). Rather than matching the price I was informed that my only option was to return it. I don't see a reason for BB not to honor their own price matching policy. It seems that citing "clearance" prices as a reason not to match while simultaneously stopping sales and extending return windows is bad business. I imagine this has much to do with earnings and income already being reported that they would then have to credit with the next fiscal quarter but wouldn't mass returns also put them in the same boat?
I would like to keep the Touchpad at $99 and I believe BB is breaking good faith in not honoring their price match committment. Personally, I like the touchpad at $99 but at $399 it's not worth it to me. I guess I can at least get 60 days of use out of it but I'd rather just have the touchpad and $300.

Until about 7 Central time returning was the only option, now you may get the price match from the link that was posted
If I previously purchase a HP TouchPad at a higher price can I receive a price match?
Yes. Customers who purchased the 16 or 32 GB TouchPad after June 19, 2011 may come into the store to get a refund of the difference between the price they paid and the clearance price. If this item was purchased on BestBuy.com, please call BestBuy.com support at 888BestBuy (888-237-8289) for the price match request.
Also you no longer have 60 days, you only have 14.(It was 60 before Best Buy decided they would sell them. now its back to regular return policy.)
If I purchased the HP TouchPad previous to August 20, 2011 can I return it?
Yes. Customers who purchased the 16 or 32 GB TouchPad after June 19, 2011 may come into the store to get a full refund within our return policy.
ZXCHRIS: I fail to see your point, you can get the price adjustment on only one, the article you linked specifically states There is a strict limit of one of each hardware SKU unit per customer.

Hello isharci,
Welcome to the Forums!
While we wouldn’t price match the clearance or limited offers of another retailer, we will match our own price for the TouchPad in this instance. I’m sorry for all of the confusion, but please refer to our FAQ for more details. As long as you purchased your TouchPad after 6/19, you are eligible for a price match. Just bring your receipt to the customer service desk at your local Best Buy® store and one of our employees should be able to get you the clearance price for your tablet.
Thank you for shopping with us and please let us know if you have any other questions along the way.
Regards,
