Re: Geeks

If you felt that your dad wouldnt know what he was purchasing when he went to best buy, you should have went with him. It is the customers responsibility to review thier reciept and insure that they know what they are paying for. That aside I believe it is unfair that you made the salesmen talk to you over a cell phone. These situations become uncomfortable because as a salesperson you are somehow put into a position where you are trying to balence the needs of the person on the phone, and the person in front of you. Often miscommunication between the two can cause discrepancies. The best thing in your case to do was to do a dot com order for you father, and have him simply pick it up.

Re: Geeks

I saw a good buy in the advertiser. He wanted it and i live almost 5 hours from him. The closest bestbuy from me is 2.5 hours away. I spoke very clearly to the sales person so there should not have been any misunderstanding. My father did not speak money to them!!!!

Re: Geeks

i work in this best buy in the computers department and it is possible they could have sold him the premium security and performance setup. now maybe it was after you got off the phone or something, but i know that the agents would not just charge him for something they didn't do. The premium security and performance would have included the optimization which is the "cleaning" that you were talking about before. That makes the computer run 20% faster and makes the battery life longer. Then they do all of the windows updates. Then they install one year of antivirus on the computer. then they give you the one year of vi-spy protection. this garauntees the computer to be virus free for that year. It is also like a protection on your software as well. If your computer blue screens, or if anything software wise goes wrong with it they fix it. Usually that is a $200 charge for stuff like that so it can really save you some money in the long run because you only pay $30 for it in that package. hopes this helps narrow down what happened.
