I'm so mad right now with being lied to by the Salem,Oregon store Geek Squad assc.
I will never go back to WORST BUY, is what I call it..........I bought an Item and it had to be returned to the factory for repair's, was told by the Geek Squad it would take 3 to 5 day's for it's return, to check with them on the 4th day, I did, nope it should be here tomorrow, being day number 5, ok so I call on day five and I'm told yet by another person that it's be in on the 8th day, and they (the store) has never had any faster turn around on that product than 8 days,,,,,,,,,,what the heck, I asked...Then I asked to speak to the manager, they hung up on me before the manager got on the phone, I called back only to be hung up on again.........why did CC have to go under and not this terrible company....I hate being LIED to and it doesn't seem to bother them any, to LIE to their customer's, well their not the only store around and this guy and his whole family won't ever go back to this sh-- hole ever again..........I can only hope you continue treating your customer's like this, maybe you'll be next to close up shop and let another company come into town,,,,,,,,,,one that can be HONEST with it's customer's, If you had been I'd still be one of your's, as it stand's I'll drive the 35 miles north to F--'s.in Wilsonville..at least they never have lied to me, and they have more than WORST BUY anyways' . so good riddens from the COX family...........

Hi rd_neck,
I never like hearing that because of the service a customer has received from Best Buy® they will no longer shop with us, and the service you received from our store in Salem, OR does sound extremely frustrating. No representative of ours should have lied to you, hung up on you, or set expectations that could not have been kept.
When you dropped your product off at the store to have it sent out to get serviced you should have been given and estimated date in which the product would be repaired and returned to the store, and as in all repair services the time it takes to repair a product can only be estimated. You should have never been given a definite timeframe in which your product would be repaired.
I would like to get you an accurate accounting of your repair and see what I can do to expedite your repair. I am sending you a private message, and to check your messages you should log into the forum and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Thanks for posting,
Allan

Mr. Allan ?,
Hi This is Mr. Mark A. Cox, I would like to inform you that I picked up my xbox today, But before picking it up I asked a young lady behind the counter this"How long does it take to send out and recieve back an xbox" she said it takes three to five day's IF xbox decides to replace it, IF they
decide to repair it ,IT could take up to three week's for the turn around, I then told her my name and she asked for my picture ID, she then said oh your here for your xbox right, YES I said, and then I told her what the manager of the Salem store told me on the fifth day when I called about my xbox, the Manager told me his employee's would never say that it only takes 3 to 5 day's for any type repair's , that it would take at least 7 to 10 day's for any type repair,,so I would highly recommend you send a investigator of your own into that Salem store and have them ask or even return an xbox for repair's and see what he's told, as far as me returning to Best Buy it'll be quite awhile from now, and maybe never, To top everything off my replaced (refurbished xbox is a year older than the one I had purchased from you, and it didn't have a refurbished sticker on it like my new one, so I won't be coming back anytime soon, I'll drive the extra mile's to a different store, as will my entire family from now on, now I sure it isn't any of your fault and I'm sorry if you feel I'm being unfair or rude, but I just can't handle the lie's that I've been given, now it may be store policy for the Geek Squad to tell it's customer's that so they leave with a half way good feeling. Put yourself in the consumer's shoe's and see how you like being told one thing and then another, kina like the run around,,well you have a good time and remember a word of mouth is much better than a hundred word's written. have a good day, Mark A. I see how this is confusing, but she stated exactly what the manager said. That if repaired, it would take "up to three weeks for the turn around", but if only replaced, it would indeed only take 3-5 business days. She said nothing incorrect.
