Hi, I purchase this gateway PC model: NV59C66u on 12/09/10. It was present for my husband who likes play PC games.
This gateway PC is great for all features but HD video card doesn't work for some of newer games. It's runs good for watching movies but this PC was meant for game for my husband after work enjoyment. PC's description doesn't say "SOME PC GAMES DOESN'T ALLOW TO PLAY ON THIS LAPTOP" so I purchased.
After Christmas he tried install some of new games he got from Christmas but only it's works on game he already got 5 years ago one...
We checked on website and some game forum said this PC isn't run for games. How would I know? BB should describe it.
BB policy was 14 days and it was passed few days from Policy.
BB sales rep doesn't explain me exclude Laptop from holiday return policy. If I knew it I would not purchase on 9th, also I would not buying this PC if they clearly describe "SOME GAMES NOT WORKING" in the first place. I would pick for other PC which runs games.
What kind computers cannot run games??? If it's only for watching blu ray just pay $99 for blu ray player.
Game it's self works fine for his old PC which doesn't comes with blu ray player. And I know few other PCs runs games with blu ray exist.
This is part of PC's permanent defect and BB missed described. I really hope BB change return policy to after Christmas. DEC1-DEC31 is reasonable for everything excluding gift card/money card items.

I regret reading that you're having difficulties with the computer you purchased for your husband to be able to play games on. As a gamer myself I know it can be difficult to run some of the newer games on even a desktop PC, let alone a laptop computer. Hopefully there's something that we can do to help you and your husband to be able to play some games that you'd enjoy on your new laptop.
In regards to our return and exchange period, we did have a link to information on every shopping cart page and a specialized help article on our Extended Holiday Return Policy to be able to better inform our customers as to the time they'd have to return any gift they purchased. We do call out in that article that Desktop, notebook, netbook, and tablet computers, among other items weren't included in the holiday extension and were subject to the standard return policy. We then linked to the normal return period where it is stated that those items are only provided a 14 day period for returns or exchanges after you've received or picked up your order.
While we do not have the ability to list on our computers what they do or do not have the ability to do; we do state the specifications of all the computers that we sell. We also publish the system requirements of every PC game that we sell on BestBuy.com and the same system requirements are listed on the back of the box if you are purchasing the games in one of our stores. We provide this information in the hopes that you'll be able to find a computer for the price you're looking to spend that will be able to play that new game you're looking for.
