The reason best buy is collecting your driver's liscense with every return is that there is a company restricting you for 90 days at their discretion from making ANY returns.
I recently had a series of price matches, and since Bestbuy does the transaction as a return my first warning, came with the restriction that "Future Returns Will be Declined for 90 Days".
They had no firm number of returns or any definitive numbers, just that based on your return activity, you are not able to return anything during Christmas for any reason.
If you have to wait 90 days and their return policy says things have to returned within 15-45 days, then you would be out of the time period. Not to mention that silver member status does not matter.
I will NOT BE SHOPPING AT BESTBUY FOR CHRISTMAS, AND WILL RECONSIDER USING THEM AS THE RETAILER FOR THE PROFESSIONAL CAMERAS THAT I BUY.
I have spent almost 4000 dollars in the last 6 months with their company and unfortunately due ot them not fully researching their system and how they do price matches and returns.
So if you have any returns at Christmas and you do it with your driver's liscense you maybe told somewhere that you are not allowed to return them. SHAME ON BESTBUY!
Sincerely,
Disapointed, and shopping Black Friday anywhere but here

While I do agree that counting a Price Match as If it were an actual return is very unreasonable.
Starting multiple separate threads with your identical grievance. Only serves to confuse the issue, and dilute the impact of any useful remarks, or suggestions. That might be made by others, in separate threads.
It also causes the community connectors to waste their valuable time and efforts. By having to filter out pointless duplicates.
In short. You would be well advised to cease and desist. Or run the risk of having everything deleted.

Yes I did contact TRE and they said they can't help if those counted. Bestbuy nor TRE would commit to how many returns or activity will have put you on the bad customer list.

It's already been flagged. A Community Connector will be along but they won't delete everything. They'll delete the duplicates and merge the relavant posts on to one thread.

Thank you for being the bestbuy police, I will keep that in mind. I was making sure my point was acknowledged so hopefully they will merge them, at least they are reading them.
So sorry if you were confused.

They read the posts whether you have created just 1 or 10. But the more threads you create, the longer it takes for them to get back to you. I wasn't sure if you realized that you were violating the very rules you agreed to follow when posting here.

I'm sorry, after I read my last reply, I realized it came off as rude, you are just trying to inform me. I appreciate that because I did not know it was violating the rules. I answered some previous threads then realized they were resolved and made my own. I am really appreciative of your information. I tried to delete them but it's not letting me.
I was just so angry and disappointed in what happened today. I love bestbuy but have to take my Christmas shopping else where or be subject to further account restrictions if I return Christmas gifts or even duplicate items from Black Friday. Really upset that they are persecuting everybody without looking into the specifics such as was there an exchange or price match.
There is no official way to dispute the claims or anyone that will discuss it. Just poor customer relations all around. I have never blogged nor participated in forums prior to this, because I have never been this disgusted by a store.
Thanks again, I would delete them if I could.

Also, I was just wondering why do you "man" the message boards here. You work for the "Geek squad". When a customer is already angry, the last thing they want to do is explain themselves or be you or deal with your sarcasm. Maybe your services would be better received in your actual job instead of doing someone else's job. If my complaint had nothing to do with the "Geek Squad" and you do not represent Bestbuy in this capacity, you should let the forum do their job and not make a situation worse. When people are upset, you need to stay out of it.
There is nothing you can do to help me, and this is not misplaced aggression, but just me saying I don't understand why you responded to my posts. If I broke the rules, then let the real employees of the board handle me. And run on sentences are just fine because when people are upset, they not looking to be further criticized.
Read your posts again and came up with the conclusion you were out of line saying anything to me, let the right Bestbuy people respond. If I wanted to ask a "Geek" question I will make sure I go into the store to that, until then, YOU SHOULD MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.
My issue is not with the "GEEKS" but with a policy and you can't do anything about that, and have no power to understand "WHY" it happened.
Thank you for your unsolicited response to my many posts.
Happy Thanksgiving
