Frustrated with BB Price match calls in last 7 days

I am trying to price match for an item I purchsed 1 week ago. Everytime I am being told by the rep on phone that he/she does not have authority to credit more than $75 so they are transferring my case to the credit department who will call me in next 24 to 48 hours.

 

I have been told the same story 3 times in this week but no one calls from the so called mysterious credit department. I am raising cases on after another but no use.

 

24 to 48 hours translate in 1 to 2 days everywhere in the world. I do not understand how do best buy people translate this..

Price matches don't occur at all from thursday through monday of thanksgiving week so you wouldn't be eligible for a price match.

Did you even read what I posted.

 

I said "1 week" before.

 

As per simple mathematics, 1 week has 7 days.

 

So 7 days before Nov 26 would be Nov 19 and I placed the order on Nov 19. Hope this helps.

 

 

Recent update: I was transferred directly to credit department this time but that guy said he will not be able to help me since he can credit only whatever he is told to by the order support team.

 

Order support team says they cannot credit anything over $75 ...

 

 

Best buy is such a mature company but a bunch of people in their customer support are giving the company bad name big time..

I get when you bought it. That doesn't matter in the slightest. What matters is the date of the sale that you are attempting to match.

Date of purchase: Nov 19

Date of Sale: Nov 20

Item went out of stock: Nov 20

 

Luckily I bought the similar item at the sale price on Nov 20 also. So, I have a solid proof in my hands.

 

The rep at bestbuy told me that they cannot price match since the price of this item never came down. I asked him to be double sure. He said he checked in hi systems and there was NO sale from bb.com on this price.

 

When I told him that I have purchased the similar item on Nov 20, he told me to hold and thn he hang up. It is like slapping your customer on his face.

 

Why Best buy employs such dishonest people I cannot understand. They really do not have to..

They will not match it unless you put in the price match request on the 20th while it still showed the sale price.

How does your Price Match policy cover an item scheduled for delivery from BestBuy.com?

If the price of an item drops at any time before its scheduled delivery date, we will refund 100% of the difference, including tax. Why should I put a request on Nov 20, 2011 . Item shipped me on Nov 23 and the price dropped before Nov 23, 2011.

If you call after a sale is no longer showing active, they will not match it. You must call while it still reflects the price.

I am not sure why you are not properly reading the posts and replying.

THEIR POLICY SAYS:
"If the price of an item drops at any time before its scheduled delivery date, we will refund 100% of the difference, including tax."

What you are saying is absolutely opposite to their policy.

I know that I will DEFINITELY be getting a price match, my question is that why they keep me running around and around.. I would like to get some input from the Best Buy staff on this one..
