Hello,
My aunt has a BB credit card which I have been paying off for almost two years because I have no credit of my own. Since I just recently learned you can add an "authorized user" and make it a joint account so I can get credit, I didn't do it from the start. Is there a way to make it that way with an existing account?

Hi forcystos,
Thank you for visiting our forum for assistance with your question. While HSBC is a separate company from us
whereby they provide credit card services to our customers, I was able to check
with them on your behalf and was advised that your Aunt may certainly contact
them directly at 1-800-365-0292 and request that you become an authorized user
on the account, however, please note that it will not help your credit by being added
to the account as a authorized user.
Thanks again!

Unless HSBC does something different that should not be true. I am on my wives American Express and Victoria Secrets card as an authorized user. Both of those cards show up on my credit report and gets reported.

If you are an employee, method of payment should not matter when utilizing your employee discount as long as you are making purchases within guidelines.

Are you sure you aren't a joint account holder? Or are you in a state where all credit cards show up on both spouses?
Oh yes you are right, I have no clue what the difference is. Thanks for your helpful post.
