Exchange policy help!

So I was given a zaggfolio keyboard for the ipad 2 as a christmas gift. The zaggfolio, which had been given to me by a close friend of mine, had been purchased from a local bestbuy. Long story short, I decided to hold off on buying myself the ipad 2 and just wait until the new ipad was released. 

Just yesterday, I went to the local bestbuy where the zaggfolio had actually been purchased, and tested out the new ipad and an ASUS transformer prime tablet. After trying out the two tablets, I decided that I would be better off buying an Android tablet, not Apple's new ipad. Now, I am going to wait for the ASUS transformer pad Infinity to be released in the coming weeks. 

Now here is my dilemma, I would like to return the zaggfolio in exchange for credit towards the transformer pad Infinity keyboard. The zaggfolio keyboard, I believe was purchased at $99.00 U.S but is now marked down in the $80's range. While the ASUS transformer keyboard I believe is currently priced around $149.00 U.S.

I would like to know if it would be possible for me to make an exchange/use the credit from the zaggfolio keyboard towards the transformer keyboard? The exchange would be made immediately at the store.

 

Two problems:

1) Since the gift was given to me in December, the product is obviously past the 30 day period.

2) I was never given a receipt with the zaggfolio

You can certainly ask but the answer will most likely be no.

It sounds like you’ve been doing a lot of research on a new tablet! I hope the Infinity works out for you when you finally pick it up. Please stop by and let us know how it is after you’ve had a chance to play with it a little bit.

 

We do ask that you have a receipt and typically aren’t able to offer a return outside the 30 day window; however exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.  I’m glad that you were able to get it figured out and we look forward to having you back in to shop soon.  Let us know if you have any questions in the meantime.
