I bought a USB TV tuner last weekend at best buy, and havn't been able to get it to work consistantly. After troublesooting it, I'm convinced that its a hardware problem with the XCeive 5000 chip in the tuner. The problem is that my wallet has gone through the laundry, so all my receipts are completly ruined. Since its within the 30 days (actually, its only been 9 days at this point), I'd like to do an even ecahgne for another tuner of the same model. I know that the official policy is that without a receipt, you can't return or exchange the product, but I've read that best buy is able to look up the receipt for you if you paid with a credit card (which I did). My question is this: Is it true that with a credit card purchuse (although I'm not a rewards zone member), they can look up the receipt for you, and are the sales receipts linked (I would assume yes), or do I need to go to the same best buy I bought it from to look it up (which I guess I could, but I bought it on my way to New York, so its not the closest one). Thanks for your assistance.

You should be fine to go into a store and ask them to reprint the receipt for you.
