I was approved for a Best BUY Credit Card a couple of days ago and wanted to buy a PS3. The card didn't come in yet so I called the store and they told me just to come in with my license and I would just need to give them my SS#. So I picked up a PS3 and a bunch of Accessories and the total came out to around $750. I go to punch in my SS# and I always get confused because some numbers are close in sequence. Anyway it was declined and I did this about 5 times each time declined. I told them (there was a line developing behind me) I would come back once the car was shipped I was just worried that the PS3 wouldn't be in stock. They told me not to worry and they would keep trying, the girl at the register called over a manager and he advised her to call the bank. The whole time they made sure I felt comfortable and opened up another register to accommodate the other customers. They struck up a conversation about the system and other things and really made the time go by while things were trying to be processed. I then spoke with a bank rep who asked me for the SS# again I told her the same thing about the numbers and repeated them to her. She told me that had the right one and then spoke to the girl at the register again. I again entered in my SS# but it was declined luckily the bank rep was still on the phone. The bank rep went through some security questions with me but it was still declining. Finally the bank rep gave an approval number since everything with me checked out. She said she didn't want me not to be able to purchase the items because I didn't receive the card yet and like the cashier didn't want me to feel uncomfortable or nervous. All of the questions she asked she explained why she was asking them repeated anything I needed because it was hard to hear her. So a big THANK YOU to the Commack LI NY store I think its store # 200 and to HSBC for there outstanding customer service as well. I was a little worried with all the problems I heard about with HSBC but so far they have shown me excellent service.

I am glad you had a good experience! I need to find out about the warranty for you! Let us know how you are enjoying the PS3 slim.
