So you dont work for best buy or geek squad yet you feel the need flag my thread. what a douche move. If you wanted to say "hey you should make a thread in the customer service section" fine I would do that. But who do you think you are going around flagging peoples threads. get a real job

Wow really... He was trying to get you assistance to get it moved to the right area.... If it gets flagged it gets moved over to the correct area...

The "Flag as Inappropriate" is mis-named, and has been for a long time. It should read "Notify Moderator".

It doesn't lead to any form of punishment or banning or anything else, it's just a way to get a mod's attention so that they can choose to move the thread to the appropriate section, or handle it here. It leads to less confusion if there is only ONE topic for a single customer's issue, so moving the thread is the preferred method to address it.

If you'd like to open a new thread in customer service, nobody is stopping you. I'm just informing you of the different ways that you can get assistance on this issue.

Me too -- to be honest, the reason I didn't post there originally is because the forum says it's for BestBuy.com issues and my purchase was in a physical store. Plus I figured other customers might already have had the answer, but it looks like we're all in the same boat.

Hey everyone,

 

If you preordered a copy of Dragon Age II on BestBuy.com on or before January 11, 2011, then there’s no need to worry – your copy will be automatically upgraded to the BioWare Signature Edition.  The only documentation you will receive, however, is your initial order confirmation e-mail and another e-mail when your copy of the game has been shipped.  Likewise, customers who chose to reserve their copy at one of our retail stores will only receive their preorder receipt – no additional documentation will be provided or be necessary.

Well this was a load of BS.  I took all sorts of precautions to ensure I would be able to play my signature edition today.  I talked with EA beforehand, I even contacted customer support for Best buy and talked with in store employees.  Even this thread says we would would have the signature edition.  Yet here I am on release day with no Dragon Age 2 signature edition to play.  I am very disappointed. :smileymad:

 

So my question is, why?  The Maple Grove store only had the regular release.  Where did all the signature editions go?  What is Best buy going to do to get me my copy of DA2 signature edition?

I have this same problem.  No copies of the signature edition, only regular copies.  This is the exact thread that I checked when I had concern about my pre-order not being a sig edition, but after seeing Aaron post I figured it was all sorted out.  Currently on the phone with the store I picked up from trying to figure why I don't have a signature edition fo the game...  As usual I doubt the store will care, and I'm sure the manager will do the same thing they did last time we had trouble with the same store and blame it on me.

Update the store I visited with informed me that they have one copy of the signature edition. Something about 'corporate' not sending enough out, and that I would not be able to get a signature edition. They offered me a gift card, but I'm not accepting that. Going to search around to see if someone else still has a sig edition copy then return mine back to the store, and make my last visit to best buy ever.
