Re: Doubt I will shop at Best Buy again...

We only have one side of the story as far as how the op was treated. If the manager was out of line, that is unfortunate and that shouldn't happen, but we can only assume how the interaction went. The policies are not assumptions as they are the same in all stores. Some laptops cannot be fixed in store due to mfg requirements and must be sent out to the service center if still under mfg warranty. Also, local gs doesn't have access to parts other than what their bb carries....so the only things that can be replaced would be hdds, odds, and ram.

I think raxan should fix her computer and let her borrow his while he's repairing it. :smileywink:

I also think the biggest issue that has mostly been ignored up till now isn't the replacement/repair but rather the attitude of the manager and lack of response received regarding his inappropriate behavior.  Having worked customer service for many years (that god that's over now), I know that I would have lost my job for treating a customer in that manner.  And that's coming from Comcast...  Not always top of the line customer service, however you cannot ignore a customer or behave like doing your job is an imposition.  Rather than ignoring her it would have been taken better for the manager to apologize, explain the policies that he is bound by and spend 15 minutes with her rather than ignoring her and only talking to the associate.  There's a lot to be said for personality...

I'm sorry, but this just has to be pointed out.  What you consider the "biggest issue" was referenced in nearly all the posts on the first page and by the community connector, I'd hardly consider that "ignored".
