Best Buy & Geek Squad Policies

Update:  A Best Buy associate told me a $10 gift card, camera case, and SD card was being mailed and I should receive them within a week.  She said emails confirming their mistake would follow our conversation.  Well, no emails came and 3 weeks since this purchase, I still have not received the promotional gift card, camera case, or SD card.

To make matters worse, Best Buy would not honor their price match policy.  Staples has the same Canon camera I purchased from BB on sale for almost the same price.  Plus, Staples has a "20% off any any Canon camera" coupon.  http://reg.e.staples.com/c/s/tagfrm/hBO8uODB7SHGCB8fJuhDLgYqp0Z/coupon.html?n=1745  So, I went to BB for a price match expecting to get $30 credit for the price difference.  After standing in line for half an hour, Best Buy said they could not take the coupon because the camera is on sale and they claimed that Staples wouldn't either.  I said, "sure they will because the coupon does not exclude cameras that are on sale."  Best Buy would not budge.  Not wanting to argue, I kindly requested a refund.  I went to Staples, purchased a Canon camera that was on sale, handed the cashier a 20% off coupon and without any hesitation he deducted an additional 20% off the sale price.

I'm tired of being given the runaround by Best Buy on these unfulfilled promotional offers and their phony price match policy.  Staples is a great store to shop.....and $30 cheaper on this camera.  Good luck to the rest of you with this fiasco, I hope you get the items to which you are entitled.  Shopping at Best Buy is not worth the aggravation to me anymore.
