Let's make this clear. The practices used in providng deferred interest rates, crediting payments to other purchases, then in the end charging what amounts to several hyndred percent interest after a few years, is nothng but a scam and I'm sure that Best Buy is getting kick backs. In fact, it is the Best Buy employees who push the cards, purchases and scam deferred credit promotions down the throats of their customers. Ultimately, it is their issue, despite the fact that the contact is with the credit companies.

I suggest taking a few finance classes at your local university.  It is not a scam but a legitimate way to purchase items without paying interest on them.  BUT if you do not pay off the product in the timeline provided like you agreed to, there are consequences.  With Deferred interest, you can buy a product without paying interest on it, providing that you pay it off in the time given.  But if you do not, then the "no interest" does not count, and you are responsible for paying the back interest which was deferred.  This is normal and not a scam except for those who do not pay off their purchases pursuant to the cardholder agreement.

So, in otherwords. Best Buy makes it a habbit of contracting with more than one rip-off artist credit agency.

That was worded incorrectly.  It should be "This is normal and not a scam.  The only ones who usually feel it's a scam are those who do not pay off their purchases pursuant to the cardholder agreement in the time allotted by the promotional purchase."

The people who DO pay off their purchases in a responsible manner are extremely happy because they were able to purchase their products on credit and pay no interest.

These are CREDIT CARDS.  Everyone knows that you have to pay them off in the correct times or you have interest consequences.  We must all remember that we need to take responsibility for our actions.
