Re: Dear Bestbuy. I pre order 2008 yet no Starcraft 2 beta key

Josh works in Best Buy Corporate (i.e. not located at a store) - they keep standard business hours, and to not have shift coverage.

Store hours are covered by employees working multiple shifts.

Re: Dear Bestbuy. I pre order 2008 yet no Starcraft 2 beta key

I appreciate Joshs help. Just upset at the poor quality service that other bestbuy members provide. As if you know my store you will understand my frustration.

and if you dont know.

Breif run down:

I pre order Starcraft 2 in 2008, and people that Just pre oreder Starcraft 2 in 2010 got a beta key while I have not.

I have gone through all the channel with in my power in Best buy to get nothing. While other people have clicked a few buttons and they got a beta key.

Its as if someone Cut infront of line for a lottery and Won.. And I have been waiting for 2 years. Im sure you can understand how upset someone would be.

Re: Starcraft 2 beta key

No you cannot get it in store. I tried going in yesterday to get mine and NO One knew anything about it. Even the sales rep that was suppose to be "media specialist" told me to game stop instead. The Pre order counter kept telling me that I had to wait until the actual game came out to get a beta key becuase it was a "package deal" and so did the manager.. until I showed them there own website, than they said wait online.. This is bull crap.. I think its called bait and switch.

But I had pre ordered it 2 years ago in 2008, and every few months the game got pushed back.. now reading on other forums such as fatwallet.com they have confirmed that people have been getting beta key "WHILE SUPPLIES LAST"

Its great to know that while i have been waiting 2 years, Wonderful best buy may have skipped over me and given it to customers that JUST ordered. Its like someone just cut me off and flciked me off at the same time.. or cut in line for a lottery and won..

On top of this, i have contacted best buy through phone, in person and now writing on these forums.. the most I have gotten was a rep that asked for me order number for 100th time, and a satisfaction survey... but no answer.. no beta key..

Re: Starcraft 2 beta key

I imagine Best Buy submits email addresses to Blizzard.

I highly doubt they have any control over the keys.

Re: Starcraft 2 beta key

As was posted in another thread, there was an issue with the 2008 pre-orders, and they are being flushed through the system right now.

To be completely honest, after pre-ordering 2 years ago, I'm quite surprised that Blizzard still has the information on all of the original pre-orders.

I understand your being upset at not getting your beta key sooner, but you're not using a very good analogy.  The people pre-ordering this week and getting a beta key before you aren't really "cutting in line".  It's more like they're showing up and buying tickets to the show at the gate, while you're still stuck in line at will-call.

Re: Starcraft 2 beta key

Thanks bestbuy once again. I have sent Josh a PM, I have sent him all the infromation and do i really have to resend him information again and again? The customer service requires me to keep on resending information? They cannot look it up in the system?

The post

STARCRAFT 2 BETA KEY 1 business Day = FALSE ADVERTISING. (After pre-ordering)

shows that he got his pre order beta key in 3 hours..

I have been waiting 3 days + 2 hours and still have gotten nothing. Are you serious! ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS..

Re: Dear Bestbuy. I pre order 2008 yet no Starcraft 2 beta key

Posting once per minute isn't going to help much...

Also, as others have said, the problem may lie with Blizzard, and it sounds like anyone that ordered that long ago has issues getting keys in a timely fashion.
