Dear Best Buy,

For the past year I have waited for Starcraft 2 to come out. It seems a bit dramatic but when I pre ordered the game it stated it would be out that year, but then it was pushed back. Months after months the date kept on backing up. I was upset but I had faith one day the game would come out.

Recently the game finally released a beta trial version and was given out to a selected few to test. Unfortunately I was not one of them, but now your company has joined a promotion to give beta keys away for anyone whom preordered! As happy as I was I patiently waited for my beta code. While reading around on forums and blogs and even hearing from friends that they have all received one but I still have not. Going into the stores I find that no one in stores knew anything about this promotion or deal, same with calling the help line on the phone and getting nowhere.

 Ive waited and waited and still no game and no pre beta key. Its adding salt into injury when you’ve pre ordered a game more than 2 years ago, but then don’t get the promotion. It as if someone cuts in line and gets a free item that you have waited 2 years for.

So Please Best Buy. Send me a beta key. I will be more than happy to send more information about my order # and more.

From the BestBuy.com site:

 "Codes will be sent approximately one or two days after your order is received. If you've already placed a pre-order, you will receive your code the week of April 26."

I'd give it a couple of days to get your code.  If you don't recieve anything by Friday, call Customer Care (1-888-bestbuy) with your BestBuy.com order number, and they should be able to get you a code.

No because if you go on forums such as fatwallet and other places they already have gotten Beta codes from best buy, furthermore in talking to a representatives they said they had skipped me and there is nothing they can do about it besides shoot an email over to promotions which goes right to trash. Contacting any higher corporate level is also not allowed according to a bestbuy Floor manager rep as she stated "they would never get there job done if people like me kept on calling on issues such as this." Which I think is pretty dumb.. Go ahead and check my statement. Walk into bestbuy and ask for preorder of starcraft 2 and see if you get a beta key or not.. Regardless Game stop has given beta keys out already, and you can obtain them over the phone.. bestbuy.. nope.. nothing.. i have pre ordered for 2 years, and even one time i remember  i had to renew. and what do i get? NOTHING.. absolutely nothing..no beta code.. and I will be lucky if I even get the game too.. The lady at the pick up said that “pre order” just means you order online, but whatever they have in stock at the store is what they have, she said very clearly “first come first server for pre order..” well then.. what is the point of a pre order than?

I have called in 3 times and gone to my local store to ask.

0 Best buy representatives have contacted me.. none..

PS..

Go to bestbuy.com search key word Starcraft 2, click on the preorder product and read the reviews of the people that already got it, happy that they got a key in seconds.

What is more sad is even with Dells out source help desk in Indian they call me back within 24 hours and even do follow ups... An out source country provides better quality service than the good old USA customer service. What is the wrold coming to..

Thanks but no thanks. You can understand why I wouldnt give away my BBY number away.. its almost like giving away your social and credit card number..

Thanks again bestbuy! Still 0 answer, I was able to send Josh a PM but now.. hes no online anymore.. .. and i guess have to wait another 24 hours or more! well at least I got a Satisfactions survey before an answer! How great and logical!
