Constantly harrassed by the DirectTV people

at my local best buy there are people who try to push directtv and they constantly hassle us. Everytime we go into that store they bug us at least once sometimes twice. The problem is they don't leave you alone if you say you're not interested.

The Direct TV reps? Its kinda their job. People are going to try and sell you stuff when you enter a retail store. If they are harassing you, tell a manager. If they are just trying to overcome objections, I see no issue with it.

Re: Constantly harrassed by the DirectTV people

Some reps need to learn though there is a fine line between trying to overcome a no and being flat out irritating. But if they are to that point walk away and ignore them.

Well I'm not the one that gave them that job. I don't go to best buy to shop for directtv or be hassled by them constantly. If I say no thanks they should leave, but they don't.

How do you not see issues with it? I don't want to be bothered and they bother me, that's not an issue? They can't respect my personal space?

Re: Constantly harrassed by the DirectTV people

You said they bother you "sometimes" twice, leading me to believe that they usually only "bug" you once. How is this "constantly"?

It's irrelevant how many times an individual will approach me, once is enough, but they will do it twice if there is more than one person there or they just forgot they already talked to me. The point is that if I wave them away initially or say no thanks they don't leave. They always go "oh let me ask you a question, who do you have right now?" I say Comcast and then they proceed to bash Comcast blablabla and just don't shutup even if I say I'm not interested.

Re: Constantly harrassed by the DirectTV people

Its very possible they forgot if they've talked to you or not. They see hundreds of people a day. Sounds like good salesmanship if anything. They got you involved in conversation when you initially didn't even want to hear them out. You have to expect that people will try to sell you stuff when you go to a retail store.

I think next time I will say no thanks and then proceed to completely ignore them. I'll feel like a jerk but maybe they'll get my point
