Can I return a router w/ receipt?

Hello,

Over a month ago, I bought a Netgear WNDR3700v2 router from Best Buy for my new internet service. However, my ISP is horrid (Cox Com.) and I am returning to my previous ISP. I have no use for my router, as the former ISP provides their own dedicated router/modem unit. I want to return my router back to Best Buy. I have the original receipt, however the item is older than 30 days. I have all packaging and materials it came with. Is there any way I could negotiate with the customer service in returning my router?  Thanks.

Since it is past the return policy/ or without a receipt and opened, they will most likely turn you down. Never hurts to go in and ask as it would be up to the store but don't be mad if they say no.

It's in great condition, just about a month and a week old. If I explained my situation would they accept?
