Hi,

There is a store about 20 miles away that has Etymotic MC3 headphones on sale from $100 down to $40 (which is amazing). Unfortunately, the sale is only at that particular location and 20 miles is really far for Southern California. If I went to my local store to purchase the product, would the Price Match Guarantee apply? I am going on a trip in 2 days (by plane) and these would be really nice to have, especially for $40.

You'd have to check with the closest Best Buy by bringing in the advertisement and see, make sure they have the headphones in stock first. 20 miles is pretty far as you've said and the store may not even be considered competition at that distance.

I don't believe Ship to Store items are Price Matched, and except for a couple stores in San Diego, I couldn't find any near LA that that had these in stock. I don't know where you are in Southern California as that's a big area. I couldn't find any stores in my state that have these in stock either.

If it is a clearance price then most likely no, but it never hurts to call and ask!

Thank you for posting your question regarding the sale price of the Etymotic MC3 headphones from one store to another. I checked in our system and finding any at all is difficult. It appears that this particular model might be in the process of being changed to a new model, which is why some locations might have them at a discount and others would not. 

As far as the Price Match Guarantee, it would not apply in this situation because the headphones are on a sale/clearance at that store and not at another store. I will include a link to that site for your further review.

Thanks for the thorough reply.

Does "this particular model might be in the process of being changed to a new model" mean Etymotic is coming out with a new model? I know you probably can't say for sure, but do you think Etymotic is rolling in a new model soon? I'm not in a huge rush to buy them and I definitely don't want to buy the product at the end of its cycle.
