BestBuy treated us badly

I am so unhappy with the way we were treated tonight. We went to 2 stores and tried to purchase the WD 3TB external drives and tried to price match with Costco for $139.99.

We asked to pricematch and we were told that BestBuy does not do that and never had. Really??? Look at this poster from BB: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hanapbuhay/1077221471/

 

We showed them the forum postingson our phone where BB representatives clearly said that BB pricematches Costco and we were treated with such disrespect like you wouldn't believe. They almost kicked us out!!!! We were told that if we buy more stuff they will do us a favor and pricematch one hard drive (we wanted 2-3).

 

The 2 stores we went to were:

Tucson, AZ Store #123

E. Tucson AZ Store #198


This is absolutely obsurd. I am a working professional and I never treat my customers like this. I will not stand for anyone to treat me like this. Someone get back to me with a resolution asap.

Do your local Costcos have that drive in stock? There's no way to tell from the website if they do or do not.

Although I am employed by Geek Squad my opinions do not in any way shape or form represent Best Buy's Official stance on matters. My opinions are solely my own.

Because Best Buy and most other retailers don't price match if their competitors don't have it in stock.

 

Did they give you a specific reason why they didn't price match? If so, why don't you share with us?

Well, obviously Best Buy price matches all the time, so that doesn't help much. You will have to be more specific, perhaps by defining 'that'. I feel like there is more to this story than what is being shared.

That's what we were told. I can't define "that" since this is not something I said. 

 

So if i run at BB again, at the same location you are saying they will honor the pricematch?

and your statement "Well, obviously Best Buy price matches all the time" is not accurate based on other people's experience with pricematching on this same forum.

Well it should go without saying that 'all the time' does not equal 'every time'. Price matches also occasionally get denied for one reason or another as it pertains to Best Buy's Price Match Policy. Which is why I find it strange that you were apparently not given a specific reason why your price match was denied. If you really weren't given a reason for the denial, it might be in your best interests to inquire about it at the store...

After we asked to get the pricematch we were told they do not pricematch Costco. I feel I made this clear since the first post and i keep repeating myself. I will wait for a BB representative to get back to me. Thanks for your concern though.
