It turns out and I have seen them do this before, and I got caught out this time, they swicthed the due date on me . My last payment was 3/9/2012, so you would assume the next payment would be 30 days later on the 4/9/2012, so I went to pay by 4/5/2012 online and found they had a due date of 4/2/2012 only 25 days after the last payment, I am still waiting to here from HSBC.
someone commented "if I have trouble with the card issuer" dont use them, this is what I have tried to explain if I do not use the card then BBY loses business do to their banks issues and customer dissatisfaction.

HSBC Response
Dear Valued Customer,
Our records indicate that your payment was received on 03/09/2012. However, since that time, a new billing statement has cycled. Per your Cardholder Agreement and Disclosure statement, a payment must be made each month the Account cycles, whereby a balance is outstanding. When your Account cycled, there was a new balance; therefore, there is a new payment due on 04/02/2012. No sh&*t New balance was because I paid it last month
Your payment due date is the 2nd of every month.(that funny my last payment was 3/9/2012) Your statement will be sent at least 21 days prior to your due date each month.
Please be assured that the cycle date changes based on the number of days in a month. WHAT?, see above
Regretfully, we are unable to grant your request to remove late fees from your Account. FINE?

they say my payment date is the 2nd of every month, yet they then say it changes based on the number of days in a month.
Which is it? when are there 25 days in a month? Oh and 3 weeks prior reminder, really!! thats even if I receive it, as that is inconsistant at best.
There was more from them expalining all stuff las if I'm stupid, like if you pay double it does not go towords next months payment, Really I think I know that dumbazz
I am not blaming BBY but these are crazy terms, I personally dislike it and will choose not use this card, which means BBY loses out.
I'm done, onward and upwards
Thanks all

Hello Roten67,
I am sorry to read of the disappointment you had after discovering the $25 late fee on your Best Buy credit card account. From the way it sounds, it appears you had been doing well with ensuring that your bills had been paid on time to keep your financing promotion, and I am sorry to see that somehow the last payment had not been.
As you do seem well aware, we do not have any control over the accounts or fees incurred as they are held through HSBC. The response you had received from them however concerned me, as it does appear there may have been some contradictory information in this. I have forwarded your concerns with this to HSBC to see if I can get some clarification on this, which I will be sure to share when I receive it.
Sincerely,
