I was shopping at the Toledo, OH Holland store the other day, and was shocked by the stupidity and unappreciative nature of Best Buy. I had selected all high-profit items (that Best Buy typically tries to shove down your throat when buying a Wii system) that were in no shortage anywhere (actually, every single store I've been to has had a glut of these items because of the down economy). Anyway, I had planned on purchasing 2 Wii Play games, 2 Wii Remotes, 4 Nunchuk controllers, and some other games. When I got to checkout, I was told, "Sir, we cannot sell you 4 nunchuk controllers...we are limiting the number you can buy to 3."
Now I can completely understand limiting customers for very hot, hard-to-find items like the Wii system or Wii Fit game, but restricting accessories when they had literally hundreds of nunchuk controllers on the shelf was just plain stupid management and altogether rude and unappreciative. Each remote that I purchased required a nunchuk controller (2 inside the Wii Plays and the 2 remotes). Therefore, I would have to make another stop to Target next door to get that extra nunchuk controller.
I decided to decline the entire purchase and buy EVERYTHING from Target, as I decided I should not be supporting the rude, unappreciative, and uninformed Best Buy chain.
I went to Target, and I realized what I had been missing so many years -- I feel so foolish having ever shopped at Best Buy. Target employees were so incredibly nice and helpful, none of them tried to drill service plans into me, and when I asked if there was a limit on the nunchuks, I was looked at a little funny and the employee said, "no limit, you can buy all you want--please do in fact" he joked.
I had bought a little extra from Target, as I just liked how cheery and kind this store was all around. My total came to over $400 at Target. Stupid move Best Buy...as CNNmoney reports Best Buy store sales are down, you need to get better management in your stores that know what items to restrict.

Good afternoon ddeeaallzz -
While I can understand your frustration in purchasing Wii accessories, I need to stress that Best Buy® does reserve the right to limit quantities on any product we sell.
I do appreciate you taking the time to post about your experience, and I will ensure your feedback is documented.
