Paul, for what's it's worth, I believe you may have a valid point. I would wait until Monday or Tuesday to allow for an official response from the monitors of this forum. I'm inclined to think they are going to take care of you.

Before I begin, I want to say that I have passed your expressed views about this topic to the Evansville, IN store management. I am truly sorry that you were greeted with such rude behavior when you were seeking to receive a refund on your Canon Rebel T3 camera purchase. That is never how we want to do business, and I've made it clear to management to have this internally addressed.
When you purchased this product, it is true that we had a 14 day return policy for cameras. Now, as of 3/4, we have a 30 day return policy (or 45 day if you are a Reward Zone Premier Silver member). On one hand, the store did make an exception by offering you the store credit, but on the other, I can definitely understand your perspective about the issue.
