On march 23rd I bought a 55" Samsung 1080p 240hz 3D SMART tv on sale for $1999.99. 24 Hours later there was a stuck pixel on the tv. When I called best buy to exchange the tv, I was told that "There are no more of that tv available!" I am well within my 30day return date! On the phone the sales rep tried to get me to swap it out for an older model tv! Saying that even though this older model is now priced higher that they would drop the price to match the one I bought! WHY WOULD I EXCHANGE MY TV FOR AN OLDER MODEL! Best buy this is UNACCEPTABLE.
Solved! Go to Solution.

See if another local Best Buy carries the TV. If not, then return the TV and buy a different one.

So you are upset that they tried to provide you with a solution, because they did not have another one of you TVs in stock?
Return the TV and get your money back, or find an alternative.
I fail to see the issue here.

So, no mention of the model of original purchase, just vague specs. Phone associate tries to makes sense of the situation, but the "customer" is always right.
What would Amazon do?

Hi Dstark87,
When purchasing a new TV it is understandable that you would want exactly what you paid for, and I am sorry you received a defective model.
It is true that you have 30 days to return or exchange the defective TV, and if your local store doesn’t have the same model in stock there would be no way for them to provide this model to you.
I do see that you ended up exchanging this TV on 4/7/2012, and that the new TV was delivered to your home on 4/10/2012. If there is anything specific we can do for you just let me know, and I’ll do my best.
Thanks for posting,
