Not sure if the folks here can answer this. But I am a new Best Buy card holder (haven't even gotten the card in the mail yet).
I purchased a high priced TV this past week. The TV has a few issues, which I am going to return it for. As of now my local Best Buy does not have this TV in stock. And probably will not by this weekend. So I may look at something else.
But how does this work? Do they do a full return onto my Best Buy card, and then I purchase something else? Or is it a exchange of sorts? Then how does that work if the new TV my cost less money?
If policy is to do a full return, is that return instant? As in will the funds be available instantly?
Thank you for any information that you can provide.

we can do return or exchange.
If you find something that day we can exchange it. If you dont we will just return it. It will take 48 ot 72 hours for the credit to go back on your card however we can call and take that hold off for you.
Also you dont need to carry the card ever you can just use ur licence
