Hello Carly. They does seem like a bad experience. I was wondering, what was wrong with the laptop that you had to bring it in for repair? That info would certainly help our forum managers.

 

And it is unfortunate, but unless an exception is made, Geek Squad black tie protection plans do not cover software/operating system issues. So if a motherboard or a hard drive or a major component failed, you would be responsible for backing up all of the information from the OS and your hard drive. Many of these charges, even if done by yourself, can accrue to 100-200 dollars to do.

 

I hope it all works out for you, and your next experience in Best buy will be much better than your last.
