Backordered...and still waiting

I purchased an Alesis Dm6 electric drum kit through OMs fullfillment. I have been waiting almost 3 weeks for the delivery and still no progress. My question is what do I do? I want this item but how long do I have to wait. I would like for Bestbuy to have a better way of informing there customers of what is going on. If you spend hundred of dollars on something you expect the product and if its delayed somehow then custmer service should keep you informed on what is going on and why its taking so long. For all I know I will have to wait another 3 weeks and that just not acceptable. I understand that orders at warehouses need to be restocked but thsi does not take that long and there are ways to expandite and at least keep me and others informed.

I’m sorry to hear about your recent Alesis drum kit purchase experience.  I can imagine how concerned you are and I would be happy to take the opportunity to answer your questions. 

 

I cannot offer explanation as to the troubles you’ve experienced thus far with your drum kit order.  While we do our best to fulfill orders as quickly as we can after they are processed, things do happen, which may prolong the arrival.  I don’t have the details to your order, but if your drum kit is on extended backorder, we would not be able to provide you with an estimated time of arrival.  Also, if your drum kit is available through the manufacturer, we would still not be able to order it through them.
