@Aaron. I have had price matches done with stores in NYC and never had a problem in the past. And also bestbuy CURRENTLY matches AMAZON.COM which is nowhere near me. SOOOOOO?????

The price match policy would allow them to decline to price match amazon. It's nice that they do it for you but they're under no obligation to do so. My store will not price match amazon and we follow the price match policy to the letter.

Re: BESTBUY IN BELAIR,MD SUCKS **PRICE-MATCH ISSUES ALWAYS**

Well let's see. After wasting time in bestbuy trying to get my headphones. And wasting time on this forum only to get answers from some i guess bestbuy teens or something. And having to waste almost a good 2 hours unhooking/wiping & returning the crap i recently purchased then i guess a gift card for the COMPLETE amount of the headphones. I think it's worth it rather then have BAD PRESS coming from such a powerful newspaper. I don't think your shareholders or investors would like that. So please let me know asap.

Also justin i'm not demanding anything but just posting a offer.
Also to everyone here. I'm a CUSTOMER. You know that little thing that keeps places in business. IT'S CUSTOMERS CUSTOMERS CUSTOMERS.

By me stop shopping there they will lose business and profit. THE THING THAT KEEPS THEM GOING. And if everyone did the same thing after they get f'over by a company then they would strive for your business

How was the store denying a non-vaid price match request you getting "f'over by a company"?

Would such a powerful news paper want one of their editors publishing a bias piece when they were in the wrong (you were not entitled to a price match on the Bose headphones)? My FT employeer would have fits if I acted in such a manner and gave them a bad name.

So now you're resorting to trying to extort a gift card for $150 for your 'time and trouble'. Wow. You really OVERvalue yourself, don't you? If I were one of the mods, I'd tell you the door's that way and don't let it hit ya on the way out.

While I will agree that a business that doesn't value it's customer is bound to fail, there is a limit to what a business must put up with from consumers. If a customer is rude, ignorant and overly demanding to a store, then that's when it stops being about the customer and where the store should draw the line at. Obviously if you are this disgruntled over a rejected price match, then I imagine the store should just cut their losses since you'll never be happy until they give into your ridiculous demands. As soon as they do that once, then you have them on the hook for future demands and then they'll lose money by having you as a customer.

Re: BESTBUY IN BELAIR,MD SUCKS **PRICE-MATCH ISSUES ALWAYS**

Yeah, this thread is beating a dead horse now.

As it's been stated by multiple people and sources, Best Buy is not obligated to match an online competitor.  They have two retail locations that were in other states, so that is slightly outside of the 25 mile limit.  The additional time lost from you returning products and using these forums is on you, because in this situation Best Buy was following policy.  Sometimes they will match Amazon.com or other competitors if it makes business sense, but they are not obligated to.  Maybe if you did some more research before going into the store you would have realized this and saved yourself some time and trouble.

Anyway, still waiting for your WSJ blog post!  I'm excited to read it.
