Hello, I'm posting because I had one of the most unprofessional experiences with Best Buy's service team I could think of. Long story short I am a teacher who does much business with electronic companies and I purchased three laptops from Best Buy with the intentions of giving as gifts to my three nephews who start college literally today. The order was placed a week prior. I get an email simply stating that my orders were canceled due to verification purposes. I called customer service and after 3 cases being opened I find out that I'm flagged as a reseller and cannot do business with the company. I find it hard to believe that a small town teacher is going to cripple Best Buy by purchasing three laptops. Also, think about it, if I was to buy a product at retail price to end up selling it on ebay for a lower price, I'd be the worst businessman in the world. I was after 40 minutes directed to someone higher just to get an explanation and all I wanted was either to get the cancelled orders resent or get my money back(the money was already taken out). I've worked in customer service before so I know not to even have the slightest tone with an operator, however after I could tell the apparent boss didn't want to deal with me anymore i was called innapropriate and rude and was hung up on. Before the boss could hang up I asked for his name (which I am required to receive if asked), however he quickly hung up. This is an outrageous situation which I can't believe happened; I felt like I was dealing with my third graders. I know that my small stature compared to Best Buy as a company wont matter to them, however I don't plan to do business with Best Buy after this. The really strange part is one of the operators told me as an option to go to a Best Buy location to buy the laptops...how is this any different from online buying? I'm still purchasing three products on the same card, shouldn't I be flagged at the store as well? Absolute assanine service and attitude to a customer and I will think twice before dealing with a company that handles descrepencies this way, sorry.
