Used Reward Zone for a long while, but moved to a small city with no Best Buy store.
Afterwards, all attempts to cancel the card are met by people who do all they can to get you to keep it, including telling you the card "is" cancelled. It wasn't. This was done on three separate occasions, all the while, annual fee's keep piling up. When I call, they cancel the fee's after a long discussion, claim they are canceling the card, but... It never is.
I have taped my last two conversations with account services. This audio is quite enlightening and reveals the slimy mechanism used to endlessly hook you. I don't believe anyone from Best Buy, or HSBC would be interested in letting this go before public opinion, but we are at that point.

For some reason lately, it seems like closing any credit card account is challenging. It recently took me almost 20 minutes on the phone to cancel a Capital One account. I finally convinced them that the answer to the question "What's in your wallet?" in my case was no longer going to be Capital One. In any event, a Best Buy Community Connector might be able to help you get this resolved but it can take several days for them to get to your post. Hang in there and good luck.

Appreciate the note, but this time it has taken well over a year. There is no mistake, or computer error. This is a scam, and the agent we recorded, confirms this.
