Re: Advertisement and Courtesy

Hello SA-

I know that preparing your house for this new Sony 55" LED TV deal took some work and I apologize that after seeking assistance, you were unable to complete the purchase.  I will be happy to provide clarification on your voiced concerns.

I'm sure that it's irritating to have several less than stellar experiences at our San Antonio, TX location.  In regards to your Sony TV situation, since I don't work at the store, I cannot say whether or not those other TV's were on hold for other customers.  However, as stated in the ad, this particular advertisement explains that availability is limited to warehouse quantities and have no rainchecks.  I sincerely apologize if your only option was to pick it up from the warehouse across town.

I appreciate you letting us know and I will pass your instances along to the upper channels of store management to be addressed.  I would also like to get more information about this situation to research, so I'm sending you a private message.  Please check your private messages by selecting the letter icon in the top right corner while logged into our forums.

Thanks for posting,

Re: Advertisement and Courtesy

Thank you for the response. No need to look into the matter any further since we already know the outcome.

As for the courtesy problems, I have some suggestions that you can pass along or ignore. Turn off the defective alarm and allow the customer to handle the product that was placed there to be picked up and be handled while you are present or get someone else to help the customer with it if you can't be away from your security post. They might buy it. And I've never have a problem with Wal-Mart checking my bag and receipt almost every time I exit the store because the person doing it is friendly.

It's not difficult to see the proper course of action unless you have a superior attitude toward your customers

A defective alarm is better than no alarm.

I about choked on my pretzel. Thanks for the laugh Nokia.

I'm sure there's an equally bizarre reason they mark the receipt with a highlighter too.

Re: Advertisement and Courtesy

An update if the Mods / Community Connectors are interested. After waiting a while we decided to stop in at (Store 181) at The Forum on the 13th to see if the new products were out yet and it turned out to be a SUPER buying experience. I even spent quite a bit more money than I had anticipated and am still very happy with my purchase. Customer Service was excellent from everyone we talked to, especially the friendly, knowledgeable person that spent time on a 3D demo for us on the TV we purchased. I shook the guys hand when I left. Great job. Security was also very courteous (they referred to me as “Sir” btw) and even helped me load it into my truck. Thanks Store 181.

Went back to the City Base Best Buy (Store 1081) on the 22nd to pick up Crysis 2, (60 hard earned dollars). Security is still as rude as ever. Did me the huge favor of taking the game out of the security container for me.

I may look into GameStop’s rewards program when SOCOM 4 and Red Faction come out.

And then you, Jeckler, would be on here complaing and moaning that they rung up the wrong sku and your credit card was overcharged or you were charged for 1 tv and given another and best buy wont help you fix it because its your word against theirs.
