Best Buy & Geek Squad Policies

I have to say I am very disappointed in the cancellation of the planned 1/24th scale Elliott Sadler "Geek Squad" NASCAR race car diecast that I had ordered from my diecast dealership.

I was told this diecast was in fact produced as a promo piece, Geek Squad Promo Picture but I have no idea on how to obtain one.  As a consumer of products offered at my local Duluth, Minnesota Best Buy store, fan of Elliott Sadler, and even bigger fan of DODGE race items, having one of these Geek Squad diecast in my collection would be huge!  Can someone here please offer me some assistance?  Thanks for your time and please advise.  Take care and good luck at California Speedway tomorrow.

I used to collect nascar die-cast years ago. If it was a promo piece then your only choice would be to find one from a  die-cast dealer or another collector.

Before I sold my collection I owned several promo pieces from various companies that were only given to employees of that company. I had a good friend who worked for Pepsi and I was able to get several very limited Jeff Gordon pieces that were only avaiable to executive of Pepsi. Pepsi gave him promo Jeff Gordon cars all the time and he would turn around and give them to me.

With all due respect, I've been collecting since the early 1990's and have purchased most of my promo pieces directly from the organization or business that sponsored the promo.  These days diecast companies require a certain number minimum of models produced.  9 times out of 10 there are extras that have no home.  My guess is there are a few unclaimed extras of this Geek Squad piece and would more than happily purchase one outright.   I need someone who is in an official capacity to comment on this, however.  Thanks though.
