i had bought an ipod nano 5g  with a 2 year warranty that covers accidental damages a while ago,about a year and a half later the ipod just wont load on to any computer no matter what i try.I was wondering if i can get a refund or a good replacement if i take it in?Also when i purchased the item it costed me about $150 an now they go for $125 will i get the difference back or something else.Im completely clueless

This is not correct and does not apply. The prp hasn't been offered since 2008. The 5th gen nano was sold in 2009 so it has a gsbtp plan which is a service plan that is sometimes fulfilled with a rapid exchange for a refurbished ipod. Sometimes they have the option to swap for a new ipod but in general not.

Is it possible to get a replacement on the spot, instead of sending it out to get fixed or getting a refurb?

By policy no. You would need to go through 3 replacements before eligible for a new one. However you could always ask store management they can make exceptions. However just remember they do not have to give you a new one.
