Anyone know a realistic ship date for the new Nano? The site says ships in 6 to 10 days. There is a Ship to Store option for 3 to 5 days. When I placed my order it says estimated arrival date of October 8th, that's 16 business days! I would love to have this by October 3rd for a marathon. How realistic is that? Thanks!

Also, my order status still says "Confirming store inventory" which is strange. Everything else I ordered has been processed by the store.

Thanks for replying Jesus. When I went to pickup the rest of my order from the store, I saw they had blue Nanos in stock. I asked about the green ones, but it was unclear when they might show up. I then asked about substituting the blue one for the green one I ordered. The sales associate graciously helped me out. We ended up canceling the order I placed online and repurchased everything there so that I could still get the 18 months same as cash deal. Very satisfied.

Looking forward to using it with the Nike+ kit I also bought. Slightly afraid though of the stories I'm hearing about the Nano screens dying from exercise sweat. Need to look into that more.

Glad to hear that you were able to get the iPod nano. I haven’t heard of the problem with the exercise sweat but if you think about it, it would make sense if liquid were to get inside of the iPod.

I agree, though given the nano is geared towards the exercise crowd I thought it would be less susceptible to that. I'm hoping using the nike+ adapter will help protect it since the dock port won't be exposed. Guess there's always a case too.

Ran for three miles tonight. Had the nano clipped on my sleeve, but that felt strange with it sliding around each time my arm moved. I then clipped it to my collar and that worked ok (I have Sennheiser buds with a short cable). Still concerned about the sweat issue. No problems yet though.

I didn't see those, thanks. Would they prevent the sweat issue? Does the nano even fit in the band with the nike+ receiver plugged in? If they fix the issue I'm all for it, but I'm still not thrilled I have to spend more money on things that were designed for exercising, yet fail while doing it.
