Howdy,

I was hoping that the staff at Best Buy can explain why your stores don't sell Vitamix or Blendtec blenders.  I would really like to purchase one of these two blenders from your store but you only sell bottom line blenders.  Do you foresee stores selling these blenders in the short term?  Otherwise once again I will be forced to go to Cost co or Amaz on.

I spoke with our small appliance buyer here at corporate and he stated we will not be carrying Vitamix or Blendtec blenders anytime in the near future.  I apologize for any inconvenience.

I'm not sureprised your not going to see them here. But you don't have to purchase from Cost or Amaz. You can buy directly from the manufacturer.

Hey Ryan, I was reviewing blenders and I too was considering a more top of the line blender.  My first thought of course was to see what Best Buy sells - was disappointed to see that you guys weren't offering the Vitamix or blendtec.  Do you by chance sell the Montel Williams Health Master blender?  I was reading reviews and would feel more comfortable buying it from a store like Best Buy, in case there were issues.

Don't believe the items you see on television infomercials at 2am as being of high quality, because they aren't. Most of the blenders on the market that promise you the world don't deliver and I have heard a lot of people complaining about the Montel Williams model as complete garbage.

You should really look into the VitaMix or Blendtec models. Best Buy doesn't carry them as stated, but you check them out a local Costco which is where you will get your best deal. The Blendtec website will list their "rolling roadshow" demos meaning when they will be at a Costco near you so you can go in and watch an in-store demo. I believe for the time being you can only buy a Blendtec at Costco when they have an in-store demo going on.

VitaMix has a model now in Costco that doesn't require an in-store demo. It is the 5200c model and is $379.99. The Blendtec model when sold at Costco is the same price. Vitamix comes with a 7-year warranty, as well as a $50 credit towards a larger container or extending the warranty to 10 years. The Blendtec comes with a 4 year warranty everywhere else, with a option to buy 3 more years, but when you purchase at Costco, you get the 3 additional years for free by sending in a special card with a copy of your Costco receipt into Blendtec.

I have a Blendtec, and so far I am not overly impressed, I think because the unit I have may have a problem, after a month old its already causing a burning smell, but my problem is probably very isolated, lots of people swear by Blendtec. I will probably return mine and get a new one, but if it doesn't perform as well as it should, may go with a Vitamix, which is what a friend of mine just bought.

I do know that Blendtec is working on a new model that is expected to be coming out around summer 2012 that they are hoping will be a Costco-exclusive, and re-designed too.
