I received a reward catalog in the mail today with what looks like a great offer from best buy. When I go online to research the washer and dryer only to find out it is not in any stores in 5 states around us. It is online only at this point. However the coupon with the catlog says "In store only". Why would one of the largest electronic stores do this? I tried to talk to customer service they tell me to talk to the store, the store says it's on-line only and they do not have any or know about getting any. HMMMM what's wrong with this picture?????

Go into the store anyways, a lot of times the store will not have them but can order them through their system and you can still use your coupon.

I am completely with you on this one. I too was impressed with the deal as I have been looking at steam washers for awhile just waiting for a great deal. I got on line to see which store I should head to right after work to purchase but found none around had the item. I too called customer service with no luck as all they could tell me was that I was right no stores had them!!!!!

I did and they wont honor the coupon. It specifically says "valid in store in stock items only"!!

The washer and dryer on sale are SKUs 9460923 and 9461165 on Bestbuy.com. I recommend making sure you were looking at the right ones. I noticed you said they weren't in any of the states around you, do you mind if I ask which state you're in? I live in Florida and there are an overabundance of the machines available in stock, so I'm curious as to where you might be located. I can try to locate a pair for you, if you'd like.

I live in central Illinois

According to our systems, looking at the Central Illinois district warehouse, there are over 150 sets available for delivery from there. So I don't understand why your local store would say they're unavailable, when there are plenty of them in stock waiting for you to take one home.
And honestly, I don't blame you for wanting this set. Its an amazing deal, one that over 15 people in my store alone have taken advantage of in the past 3 days.

so you are telling me that the store would be able to get this from the warehouse and I can still use my coupon? If so that would be awesome! Thanks for the info!!

Yes, in most Best Buys, delivery + installation are pulled directly from the warehouse stock itself, not the store stock. In the rest of the cases, such as my store, the warehouse stock is fully available to the stores, who deliver and install the product themselves.
Either way, the full stock of the warehouse is available to you. The coupon does say store stock only, but store stock and warehouse stock typically are shared.
Of course, every store has their own policies. Like I say in my signature, what I say goes for me and my store, your local store MAY be different. But I don't see why they would want to sit on a deal like this instead of making you incredibly happy with an amazing deal on a great laundry pair.
Also, like I've suggested with my customers, with the money that you're saving with the set, don't hesitate to pick up the Geek Squad Black Tie Protection plan for them. For $249.99 dollars for 5 years coverage on both the washer and dryer, its a great way to protect then investment you're going to make, and you're still getting out with a great deal on the set.

I also received this wonderful coupon as a rewards card member. Went in on Thursday and told the girl I would be back on friday with my Best Buy Gift Certificates, she assured me that "there are millions, so don't worry, we won't sell out". Tonight I went back with my husband, when different salesclerk was putting our order in computer she said that there are no more available, she tried to get a rain check and said they wouldn't let her. She was very helpful but could not do anything. I didn't see anything that said while supplies last on the coupon. Best buy should honor this coupon with a rain check and let their employees know that there really aren't millions of them as I was told.
