Just bought a french door, bottom freezer fridge. Measurements 36 wide, 33 deep. My question is will the delivery people remove the doors when delivering it? It will fit in my front door as is, but the door into my kitchen is 32 inches wide - the back door to my house, which enters into the kitchen, is also 32 inches wide. According to the fridge specs, without doors the appliance is 28 1/2 inches wide, which would fit. In the past, I have had no problem with deliverymen removing doors and reattaching them to fit things in; however, the salesperson said something like "if it doesn't fit, the deliverymen leave, end of story". Not sure if I have to cancel my purchase and go elsewhere or not This is scheduled for next Wednesday, 11/23, so I hope I can get an answer quickly.

Yes, the delivery folk will remove the doors in order to get the fridge into your home. If they have to take off the fridge doors, that can be done as well. Calling the delivery warehouse is also a good idea. I hope this helps and that you enjoy your new refrigerator.

The door is 32" but the door way is probably only 31 or 30" wide but the fridge will still fit as that is the problem I had. When they delivered my fridge they took the fridge doors off as well as the front doors. They also put them back on. Same thing when my washer and dryer were delivered.

It's funny that you are saying how the delivery people will take the doors and handles off a refrigerator. I had the totally opposite experience happen yesterday.
I currently have an LG refrigerator that is being bought under the No Lemon clause of my PSP. I bought another LG refrigerator to replace it. This one is slightly larger but still will fit through the door with the handles taken off. The one that I currently have had to have the handles taken off to get it in the house as well. The delivery guy arrives yesterday and immediately has an attitude. He's saying how it isn't going to fit, didn't the salesman explain to me how to measure (like I'd be too stupid to understand how to measure on my own), they can't get it in, etc. I asked him what he meant because it surely would fit in the door. I told him I had measured and it fits, he has to take the handles off. He goes into how they aren't allowed to take handles or doors off. I said that was rediculous, refridgerators won't fit without it, there are instructions with the manual that say how to both take off the handles and the doors. I again said I didn't believe that. He said it was a "new policy". Again, how can this be true? Doors are a standard width and that would mean that no one can get a refrigerator because you can't take the handles off to get it in the door. I told him that that was stupid, which he took to mean he was stupid. OK, I didn't say that but there is obviously no reasoning with this man. He also kept going on about not being allowed to take off the storm door. I never said to take off the storm door, it isn't necessary.
He calls the store manager and tells me that the manager offered to take off money if I let him look around to see if there was another way to get it in. He wants to take it through the back, through the patio door. The only way to get through to the back is on a 45 degree sloped hill on the grass and a gate. It had just rained and there is no way that you can take the refridgerator through the grass on the sopping wet ground. And, if you don't want to take handles off, you sure don't want to attempt that. I had visions of my brand new fridge toppling over into the neighbor's yard.
I told the manager the delivery man can just leave and I want someone else to deliver it who has a better attitude. I waited a week to have the refrigerator delivered and I had to leave school early to be here when it came. All for nothing. Now I have to wait until Monday and the delivery guy that comes will determine if he needs to take the handles or doors off. Pardon, this guy just said he isn't allowed.
I'm extremely frusterated. Getting this refridgerator delivered has been nothing but a hassle. The sales people in the store were super nice but this delivery man really made this an awful experience. I just want my new refrigerator without the hassles.

Please don't let one employee reflect the overall impression here. That delivery man needs to go backs to customer service school. When I used to work appliances, I had a driver who was asked not to roll a dolly over freshly laid tile, he went and got straps to wrap around a massive fridge (it was the 29 cubic foot Samsung at the time), they took off their shoes and that fridge never touched the floor until in was in the spot it was meant for. He and his crew did things like this regularly. With job market the way it is, that manager should say shape or ship out.
Not all Best Buy delivery acres act like that!

Also was this Best Buy Delivery or third party. It sounds like third party. The guys that came to my house for the washer and different guys that came with the fridge were wearing best buy shirts.
