I read online and spoke to CS about what I would need to purchase before taking delivery on week from tomorrow on August 28th. My questions are:

1. Does the delivery include a basic electric washer/dryer installation? I was told yes. Only gas would require extra fees, is this true?

2. I was told that I would need a power cord, which I bought with my online order.

3. I was told in the store, I would need a dryer vent that it was not included with my order, however when I ordered online and confirmed with CS they said it was included. Do I need a dryer vent? The distance from my vent hole to the new dryer is going to be very short as my vent exit is right at ground level, I did however buy the pedestal so that might add a few inches... I was looking at the periscope vent 0-18 inches adjustable. Does anyone have feedback on what vent product you like? Does the dryer include a vent?

Dryers (Electric)

• Electric dryers are connected by home delivery.
• Requires an adequate 240V electrical outlet to plug the dryer into and a vent exhausting directly through an outside wall (not through crawl spaces, attics, or windows).
• Requires a dryer cord and venting kit to be purchased from Best Buy.

I purchased my washer and dryer from Best Buy and yes they hooked up both and installed them on the pedestals.  They will not use existing power cords or dryer vent hoses.   You don't need a new vent per say but the exhaust hose (I recommend metal over the plastic ringed ones).
