We recently purchased this beautiful refrigerator- LG Model LMX28988SW, love the features and the two drawer freezer.
But when things go south don't look for LG to stand behind it. For a manufacture that has one of the better
Warranties, their customer service is pitiful.
The first unit delivered would not make ice so we called the number in the manual and they dispatched a
repairman. Due to a factory defect he could not fix it without ordering a new door. Come to find out LG could not
furnish a new door in a reasonable amount of time and just to fix the problem they would have to completely
disassemble the exiting door. Well...we didn't pay for a refurbished unit, we paid for a new one.
After weeks of phone calls and frustration with both LG and Best Buy, Best Buy finally stepped up to replace the unit,
Still, not without issue but we finally got a new unit eight weeks from our original purchase. Less than twelve hours
of operation we have a bin full of ice.
