Hello Best buy fanatics
My old fridge is scaring me. During the summer the freezer door get pretty warm. Is this something to de alarmed about?
This happened last year but when the cooler months came by the door went back to normal. It is where the rubber part closes. It is warm to the touch. Any new style fridges that do not have that heat sealing mechanism?

Usually if that part of a fridge is getting hot to the touch it is caused by either the condenser or the compressor hat are going bad. There are a few things you can do to try and fix it but it is probably time to start looking for a new fridge. Unfortunately I think all fridge use that area to pass hot gas through in order to defrost and keep things cold in the fridge. So finding a fridge without that heat sealing mechanism is probably going to be imposable.

Thanks for the reply!
I will look into getting a new fridge.
Whats weird is that is only happens when the freezers is on but once it shuts off it is cool again?
I will clean the condensor coils this week and see if that helps. This happened last year but no major problems.
