Security in connected products

Hey,
Do you guys worry about security in connected products? Like somebody hijacking your product and using it for random stuff?
I don't mean any brand exactly, just any connected product.

Thanks!

Re: Security in connected products

Best Buy has a well developed security protocol in each and every one of their connected products.

Are you asking about IoT devices that use UPnP IP protocols, or are you referring specifically to each individual store and their internal IP security?

Hi there, drojasug,

Like our super user, bobberuchi, mentions, we do have a security protocol in place to ensure our stores are safe from a breach of any kind. If you’re worried about your own devices though, I’d recommend taking a peek at our FAQ regarding the recent Ransomware issues to see what you can do to best protect yourself.

Cheers,
