Why is the Moto G5 Plus listed as being compatible with US Cellular?

I called US Cellular to confirm, and even went into a local store to make sure. They are not compatible with US Cellular, so why is it listed as being compatible? People have probably wasted hundreds of dollars not realizing they're purchasing an over-priced paper weight.

Re: Why is the Moto G5 Plus listed as being compatible with US Cellular?

Hello Ken231,

Welcome to the Best Buy Support Online Forum Community! It’s discouraging to hear that the Moto G5 Plus may not be compatible with US Cellular. While reviewing the full product listing it states the following:

Compatible with CDMA and GSM carriers, including Verizon Wireless, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile

Also compatible with prepaid SIM Kits, including Verizon Wireless Prepaid, Cricket Wireless, Tracfone, Net10, H2O, GoPhone and Simple Mobile.

The products short description may indicate that it’s compatible with US Cellular. Thank you for letting us know that may be a mistake. I’d be happy to have our merchant teams review the listing for any discrepancies. Please note Best Buy only posts the information the manufacturer provides us. This is noted in our Conditions of Use.
