Hi! I'm a tourist who purchased a Google Pixel from Best Buy in Vegas. I brought it to the Philippines, my home country. I removed the Verizon SIM card and inserted my Philippine SIM card (Carrier name: Globe Telecom) and calling, texting, and surfing the net seems to be working fine. Is there possibly any issue that might prevent my pixel from performing at its best? The guys at Best Buy said the phone is a CDMA device while Globe Telecom is a GSM carrier (not sure) so there apparently may be issues unless I unlock/deactivate/jailbreak it. I also consulted a Verizon store in Salt Lake City, Utah and the guys there said that all Pixels are ready to be used worldwide, regardless if the SIM card is from Verizon or not, so there is no need to unlock. What is the correct answer? Can I use my Pixel in the Philippines at its maximum performance or are there certain restrictions? Thank you.

It sounds like your Pixel is working at its best already, as you stated your Globe Telecom SIM card is working with calls, texts, and data.
