Re: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that as of now we are no longer selling any Samsung Galaxy Note 7's and any customer with a Note 7 can return or exchange their phone regardless of when they purchased it. A customer that purchased Note 7 Accessories can also return those accessories. This is of course only for customers that purchased their Note 7 from Best Buy.

Thanks,

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

Does this also apply for people who already got a replacement Note 7? Seems like they are also now having issues.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

Samsung, in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC"), is recalling Galaxy Note7 devices sold before September 15, 2016. Consumers should immediately stop using and power down recalled Galaxy Note7 devices purchased before September 15, 2016. The recalled Note7 devices have a 5.7-inch screen and were sold in the following colors: black onyx, blue coral, and silver titanium with a matching stylus. "Samsung" is printed on the top front of the phone and "Galaxy Note7" is printed on the back of the phone.

On September 15, 2016, Samsung and the CPSC announced a new Galaxy Note7 with a different battery has been approved for customer use and exchange. New Galaxy Note7s were tested by Samsung and approved by the CPSC and made available to customers who need to exchange a recalled device or have a temporary device for exchange.

On October 10, 2016, Samsung announced a global stop sell, stop exchange for new Galaxy Note7 replacement smartphones. We encourage customers with a Galaxy Note7 to visit an AT&T location to exchange that smartphone for another Samsung smartphone or another smartphone of their choice. Customers with a Galaxy Note7 are strongly encouraged to immediately power down and stop using their device and visit their original place of purchase to exchange that device. Please reference the latest announcement from Samsung.

Hey JeremyKraska,

Yes we are allowing the return of all Note 7 phones regardless of when they were purchased.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

I just left my Best Buy asking about returning my replacement Note 7. I want the iPhone 7 Plus and they are on back order. So I asked to pre-order that device and they said that I could but I only had 4 days to return my Note 7 to Best Buy. They said if it's not returned within those 4 days the only way to return it would be directly through Samsung. When was this information communicated to Best Buy Mobile customers? I didn't receive any information about this. It's really forcing me to return my Note 7 to jump into another phone I don't want. Even if customers are moving into the Galaxy S7 Edge that device will be refreshed the 1st quarter of 2017 and the S7 Edge will be an outdated device. Please advise.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

Hey Atrocity79,

I have not heard of any time limitation that has been set yet in which a customer has to return or exchange their Note 7, but at some point I'm sure there will be a cutoff date.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

Good Afternoon,

I only bought an Otterbox from Bestbuy for my Note7.  Because of the recall I no longer have my Note7.  It seems like I am able to return my accessories only if I bought my Note7 from Bestbuy?  If so I find this to be ridiculous!

Can someone from the BB Customer Relations Team shed some light for those of us who have bought only accessories from BB?

Hey Emby25,

Any Note 7 accessories can be returned to Best Buy regardless of whether or not a customer purchased their Note 7 from Best Buy.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

@Allan-BBY What is the time frame in which we have to return our Note7 accessories.  Also, I am assuming that all stores have been notified/have a procedure to return Note7 accessories that are outside of the return window?

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

Hey Emby25,

There is no timeframe set at this point, but I can't imagine it would go on indefinitely. My best suggestion is to return or exchange any of these accessories as soon as possible.

Thanks,
