Samsung Galaxy Note7 Product Withdrawal

Hello everyone, 

 

Thank you all for your patience as we are awaiting news on the Samsung Galaxy Note7 product withdrawal. With everyone being so incredibly excited for this release, I'm sure news of this withdrawal was quite disappointing and disconcerting. We are still awaiting information from Samsung regarding how this will be handled and processed. Keep an eye on BestBuy.com for more information.

 

For those of you who are within our 14 day Return & Exchange Promise for cell phones, you should feel welcome to return the device if you are not comfortable with keeping it. Currently, we are waiving restocking fees for Note7 returns. Furthermore, please know that you should not be required to return the watch or memory card. However, the waiving of activation fees will ultimately be up to your carrier and may vary from one to another.

 

For those of you that were still awaiting pre-orders and reservations, these are likely to be cancelled as we are no longer going to be fulfilling orders or selling the devices at this time.

UPDATE: Best Buy will be taking returns on the Note7 beyond the 14 day return/exchange period.  For more information on the Galaxy Note7 Exchange Program, please go here on BestBuy.com.

For those of us who had our pre-orders cancelled, will we still get something since the watches or SD cards are not being offered now?

Samsung has put out that replacement note 7s will be out as early as next week. With priority being on those individuals that have already purchased and returned note7 devices. Guessing after those are handled, they'll be on the shelf in time to compete with Apple products.

@Tasha-BBY, is Best Buy still taking returns for the galaxy note 7's after the 14 days return policy? I'd rather not take the chance with my note 7 until Samsung starts selling them again with no issues reported. As much as I hate turning it back after anxiously waiting to get it, its not worth risking it until then. Thanks for the reply in advance!

Yes, we should still be taking returns and exchanges beyond the 14 day period for Galaxy Note7 devices. I would encourage you to submit your email address on our Galaxy Note7 Exchange Program page to receive more information on the availability of the new Note7 devices.

Do i have to exchange my note7 for a Samsung s7 or can i exchange it for the iphone 6 instead? Iv yet to have my phone get hot or anything but would rather not risk house an family

Hi there EfPanda, 

 

You should be able to return your Note7 for a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 edge and receive replacements for your Note7-specific accessories. Alternatively, you may return your Note7 for a full refund which would allow you to purchase another device of your choice, such as the iPhone 6.

I recently replaced my S-PEN for the Galaxy Note 7, I plan on exchanging the Note 7 when the new shipments arrive. I'm wondering whether I should replace the S-PEN before returning the Note 7, could I get some advice on if the Note 7 could be exchanged without the S-PEN?

Hi Ludatyk, 

It is currently my understanding that we should be able to accept the Note7 without exchanging S-PEN. Also, per our Galaxy Note7 Exchange Program page, we should be accepting Note7 accessories for returns or exchanges beyond the 14-day return period as well.

When will Best Buy begin notifying customers who returned their Note 7 for a temporary S7 Edge that their Note 7 replacement is ready?
