That is good that some Best Buy are even emailing that there is a delay. I have not even recieved an email letting me know that mine order will be delayed. That would be nice of them to do so.

I preorders online on aug 5 for store pickup and nothing yet. Order hasn't moved. I think I read allot of Best Buy only got literally like 5 note 7s. I should have ordered from att. I may cancel and go to carrier. I don't want to wait fir weeks

I have been reading on Androidcentral's forum that many Best Buy did not recieve At&t shipments at all. Many BB don't even know when they will be recieving any. It would be nice of BB to let there customers know that there orders will be delayed. I have been checking on both forums now all week. I have not recieved any communication from my local best buy at all about this situation. I am  hoping best buy gets shipment in soon. Since I pre-order on the 4th. This is very disappointing since I love BB. Being my first pre-order I was hoping everything would go smoothly.

Thank you all for your patience as we've begun processing pre-orders, both for in-store pre-orders and online pre-orders. With that said, please be aware stores may receive limited inventory of each model. As such, we will fulfill pre-orders in the order they were received at each location for each model as inventory allows. 

 

Please also keep in mind that while we do our best to fulfill all pre-orders in a timely manner as close to release date as possible that our fulfillment dates are merely estimates. I apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment any delay in the fulfillment of your pre-order may cause.

The best buy I originally preordered instore at has no stock.  I found another Best Buy with stock but the genetleman on the phone told me that I would not get the preorder bonus.  they would have to treat tihs as a walk in since I preordered at another store.  Is this accurate?

Hi there iamdld, 


I'm sorry to hear your current store does not have the stock to fulfill your pre-order. While in some cases we may be able to modify an existing online pre-order to change fulfillment method (from store pickup to ship-to-home, or from pickup at one store to another), this isn't a capability we have for pre-orders placed in store.

 

As such, you would need to cancel your pre-order at your original store, and replace your order at the store of your choice, if this is what you ultimately choose. Please keep in mind that this would remove you from your current place in the queue at the original store, and place you at the end of the queue at the new store. There would be no reinstating your place in the queue at the original or new store. 

However, I would like to note that the free Gear Fit2 or free memory card offer appears to still be valid! If you do choose to cancel and replace your order elsewhere, you could simply return the freebie items to avoid being charged for them and then receive them again at the new store.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I spoke with the store and the gentleman told me to come on in and the associate will figure it out.  I'm guessing they will cancel the preorder at the other store for me.

Re: Galaxy Note 7 Pre-Order

I'm in the same boat. In order to get the 256GB SD card, I had to place my pre-order in store which I did the very first day available on Aug 3rd. Still no notice my phone is ready to be picked up. I called the store and they told me that it is Samsung that is causing the issue for not sending enough phones. It's reasons like this that I usually find a different reatiler to spend my hard earned money. I tried to give them a chance due to the SD card being obtained right away vs having to wait for it to be sent via samsung, but I've been burned yet again. I even purchased 2 Note 7's, not just one. 

 

Just another unhappy customer.
