I don't understand how they billed me for the taxes of the items included in the pre order on the 18th. You would think they process payments if a shipment is confirmed! So through at&t I will be making payments starting my next billing cycle and the latest email from best buy says so nicely.

"We anticipate your orider on your doorstep in the next 30 day." I want direct answer pertaining to my order. Not some general information about the process!

You could see if another best buy has them in your area, and ask for your pre-order to be transferred to that store and pick it up.

Good morning everyone and happy release day! 

For those of you who have pre-ordered in store or selected store pickup, I regrettably would have very little information to share with you in regards to the status of your pre-orders, as I do not have access to seeing where you would be in the queue for your particular store's pre-orders of that model. With that said, stores should continue to receive shipments (some stores may even receive shipments today) and allocate inventory until all pre-orders are filled, so be on the lookout for any email updates. 

theno1prince - I'm glad to hear that your order shipped, although I'm sorry to hear that it may not have shipped with the shipping method you anticipated, causing a later delivery date. When checking on your orders, I see that the first order you placed has shipped and has an ETA of Monday, 8/22/16, while the second order has also shipped with an ETA of Tuesday, 8/23/16. If you are unavailable to receive either, please know that they would be returned to us for a refund. Your upgrades should then be reinstated in a few business days after that. Furthermore, you would likely be charged for the freebie item you received as only part of the bundle was returned, and a $35 restocking fee for the phone. Ilplaynebody - I'm sorry to hear that you may have received a notice regarding a delay. However, when checking on your order status, it appears to have shipped! This would explain why you would be seeing a charge on your end, as we do typically only collect funds when an item ships. Please keep an eye out for tracking information soon, if you haven't received it already.

So it turns out the best buy I pre-ordered from said they do not even see my pre-order as something they are filling in at the store. 

 

Thus, I will have to call 1-800-bestbuy to find out what is going on. Sad day, I should have just gotten from another store. Now if I want the phone today, I'll lose pre-order bonuses in other stores. This is quite lame and likely the last time I pre-order anything from BB. That's speaking as a former employee as well, I still thank Tasha for all she did to try and help.

When checking on your pre-order, it does appear to be set for store pickup. I'm sorry if the store advised they were not fulfilling it. It's possible they were looking at their pre-orders placed in store, rather than ones placed online for store pickup.
